Ponto M was a biannual catalogue for resellers of the Brazilian sex shop wholesaler Milli.
I was tasked with coordinating issues 3, 5 and 6— as well as desiging some pages myself— in projects that were as fun as they were challenging.

As a general rule, the visual universe of the catalogue should be playful, easy to understand and leave room for the identity of every product or set of products to shine individually.
The other rule was on how to handle stigma. Designs still had to be somewhat tame in order to not scare reticent first time buyers, but they weren't allowed, under any circumstance, to treat their subject matter as taboo.
I embraced those values to the fullest and encouraged my teams to do the same.

To tie together so many disparate designs, we built a set of supporting elements into the graphic project. These elements were repeated not only within one specific catalogue, but across the different issues, adding a solid underlying sense of identity to a publication that could otherwise be wildly different from one page to the next.
These elements included reference icons for product functions, section markers, style types and a consistency and recurrency in how elements such as brand logos and names were handled.

The sheer scope of these catalogues gave me the opportunity to work with many different designers, both same level and interns, as well as handle project management duties in every step of the workflow. A mind opener in more ways than one, and a project that I look back on with great fondness.
